I founded the Music Program at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. It is designed to serve as a strong music major with a traditional core that branches into new vital territory for musicians as practitioners, artists, creators and entrepreneurs. In 2015 I was awarded the UCCS Innovations in Teaching with Technology Award.

The UCCS VAPA Major has three Music Major tracks

  • Creative Music Practice, Performance and Technology
  • Composition and Sound Design
  • Bachelor of Innovation in Music

Visit the UCCS VAPA Music page for descriptions of these tracks.

While I have taught over thirty types of courses (gasp!) most recently I have taught upper division music major and VAPA interdisciplinary courses such as the Electro Acoustic Ensemble, Sonic Landscapes, Creative Music Ensemble, Sound Art, Composition & Sound Design, as well as the trumpet studio.
