world tour

The EcoSono Ensemble featuring Matthew Burtner and Glen Whitehead is tackling a world tour through 2016 / 2017. Featuring a myriad of award-winning virtuosic ecoacoustic and improvisational works, Burtner and Whitehead bring their expansive environmental approaches to contemporary and  jazz settings.  This tour is a part of a larger project entitled “the EcoAcoustic Global Initiative,” a mission to connect environmental musical artists and organizations from around the globe who are dedicated to creative activism. As such, the EcoSono Ensemble will work with regional artists by embarking on environmental research, collaborating on creative work and including regional guest artists in their concerts.  This tour will cover the U.S., Canada, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and more.

They will join forces with the internationally acclaimed Clocked Out  on several dates including Brisbane, Sydney and Mellbourne.  In New Zealand they will collaborate with the award winning ensemble WAI.  Stay tuned for more info….
